Introduction to Screening Equipment: A Comprehensive Guide

vibrating machine

1.What is Screening Equipment?

A rotary vibrating screen is a machine used to separate one material from another during the screening process. Can be applied to raw materials being refined into finer grades to produce end products that can be used in different industries and applications. The screening equipment can work independently, and can also be used in conjunction with a pulverizer and a conveyor to form a complete set of equipment, so that the material processing process is seamlessly connected.

2.How Does Screening Equipment Work?

Screening equipment machines can run on flat surfaces, which is more suitable for circular vibrating screens or inclined, which are usually used with rectangular units. These rectangular or circular machines, like circular screens, are powered by single or dual motors that generate high energy vibrations that cause particle separation and discharge of oversized and undersized material to collection containers or back into the manufacturing process of ports, sort of like a continuous “loop”.

3.Which industries are screening equipment suitable for?

Usually applicable to multiple industries, including food, medicine, chemical industry, agriculture and mining, etc. Every industry has a unique use for screening equipment, and each application requires a different type of screen mesh size due to their versatility and ability to screen down to micron-scale fineness on an industrial scale. For example, in spices in the food industry and powders in the pharmaceutical industry, etc., including the removal of impurities from liquids.

4.How Often Do Screens Need to Be Replaced?

How often screens need to be replaced depends on the industry and the type of material being processed on the machine. For example, if you screen corrosive materials on a daily basis, you will need to replace your screens more often than in an industry that handles such corrosive materials differently. Our engineers can help you recommend screen replacement times based on the material you’re processing on your screen, so you don’t have to worry about screen damage!
