Its basic configuration is the motor, the electric panel, the barrel, the feeding port, and the discharge port. it rotates in 360 opposite directions, creating a strong vortex that draws material from the sides of the cone and down to the bottom, where it is then drawn back up to the top of the cone. This creates a powerful mixing action that ensures a thorough blend of materials. The v mixer rotates at a pre-set constant RPM to mix the homogenized materials in a short time to get a uniform mixture. Sometimes a force agitator is recommended for the bad fluidity materials.

Ribbon mixer working principle:

The ribbon blender is a type of mixer that uses a helical ribbon agitator to mix and blend dry powders and granules. It consists of the base, the motor, the electric panel, the discharge port, a drive system, and a horizontal U-shaped trough with a double helical ribbon or blade running along the length of the trough to do the rotation action in opposite directions. The ribbon rotates at a slow speed, which helps to mix various ingredients thoroughly and evenly. And the RPM of the ribbon mixer is adjustable according to the different machine types, with big capacity, the slower speed to keep stable and more effective in the mixing process. The ribbon blender is most effective when used to mix various natural ingredients, such as powders, granules, pellets, 10-20% liquid, etc.

Advantages of Ribbon Mixers and V-Mixers:

To make the material mixing effect more uniform and effective, no matter what kind of mixing equipment needs to be empty enough space to make the mixing process more smooth and to ensure the materials are mixed properly. Of course, the filling volume for the mixer is also based on the specific material natural such as the density, the specific application, etc. The difference in the optimal filling volume for the ribbon blender and the v-cone mixer is obvious.

According to our rich experience in mixing machines, the optimal filling volume for a ribbon blender is around 50%-80%, but the v-cone mixer is around 40-50%. The difference is caused by the machine shape, the mixing principle, the applicable materials, etc to lead to the same mixing target, v-mixing requires the use of larger models to achieve the target capacity. So the budget will be different.

There are four ways for the ribbon blender cover, but the v-cone mixer adopts the round opening at the top of the cylinder. It can also be seen from this point, the spiral mixer is more suitable for mixing large quantities, V mixer is suitable for more refined mixing. But they are all suitable for the screw conveying method to uploading the powder, it is easier and faster than the manual uploading way.

It depends on the different reception methods, if you use a bag or box to package directly, the normal height of 50-60cm is a suitable range, but if you want to connect a hopper to convey to the next handling production line, the height can be customized to 90-1000cm.

For the v-cone mixer, it adopts the sanctity manual butterfly valve mostly. With the one-touch return function, it is possible to keep the discharge opening at the bottom at all times, which is convenient for receiving materials. However, if you need to connect the transfer system, you need to connect it manually after the mixing is finished.
